School’s Out for Summer

Whoohoo! I finished up my semester of art and production classes this week and can not wait to get my summertime on (minus the triple digit weather). To really get into the mood, I rounded up some of my current favorites for the summer and a couple items from my must-get list…

//Scout Tote – I have a Scout tote from Blogher ’11 and it’s a lifesaver for schlepping everything from groceries to laundry to a beach picnic
//Blowfish Tush Wedges – I swear by all of my Blowfish shoes. I don’t have these yet, but I love the look- they’d be great with a maxi or a cute pair of on-trend lace shorts
//Aveeno BB Cream with SPF 30 – this is a great lightweight tinted moisturizer + sunscreen and holds up well
//Essie In the Cab-ana Polish – it’s a little funky, but this polish on your nails would be great paired with a coral or pink pedicure!
//Kiehl’s Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit Lotion – my mom gifted me some Kiehl’s product and this scent is absolutely incredible. It’s floral and citrusy but not too much as to be overwhelming.
//Striped Maxi Dress – cheap, trendy, and comfortable. Yes, please!
//The Mortal Instruments Series – I started reading these books recently and apparently a movie of the first book is coming out last year. Fun for poolside reading, they’re an interesting fantasy read that doesn’t require much thinking (which is a must for any good poolside book!)
//Floppy Straw Hat – protect your face and look good doing it…and not a bad way to hide a bad hair day, either.
//Polka Dot Sunnies – I always lose my sunglasses, so I always look for inexpensive but cute pairs of oversized sunglasses. This pair from Target hits the nail on the head.
